The Pinder Reaux Sports Law Team as headed up by Director of the Football Association Rupinder Bains
Our sports team, is led by Football Association Director and the firm’s managing director Mrs Rupinder Bains. In addition to being a director of the FA, Rupinder also sits on the FA’s Membership and Sanctions Committee and is a member of the Women’s Football Ambassadorial Panel. Rupinder uses her wealth of knowledge and experience from the top echelons of football’s governing body to assist the firm’s clients. The team, under the guidance of Rupinder, is experienced in all forms of dispute resolution including:
- Litigation in the civil courts, in particular the High Court;
- International and domestic arbitrations; and
- Sport’s governing body proceedings, including Rule K arbitrations
The extent of these disputes include disputes between rival clubs, disputes between agents, intermediaries, third parties and players and proceedings in the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the Swiss Supreme Court.
Our regular clients include a premiership football club and clubs in the English Football League, along with intermediaries and players themselves. Most recently the firm has been instructed by a leading Premiership Football Club in arbitration proceedings against an ex-player, a European Footballer and international African Footballer in relation to a dispute with an ex-representative and a League 1 club in a seven-figure share sale and investment agreement. Pinder Reaux have also been asked to advise on the corruption allegations in Ghanaian and African football which resulted from the BBC documentary aired in June 2018.
The Pinder Reaux sports team is a creative team which employs outside the box thinking, which is often necessary in sports disputes, in order to bring about the best conclusion for its clients.
